Sam Jacovitz (now nine years old) and his mom, Lisa Williams, have collaborated on a story, Goofball Galaxy. Mom and son have been working on the story since Sam was five years old. Goofball Galaxy, is about a place far, far off in another galaxy thousands of light years away from earth where children live before they are born. King Max must save the galaxy from huge cyclops, germy dinosaurs, and sleepy, boring humans.
Sam and his Mom have turned the story into a children’s play. Last spring, Lisa Williams received a grant from The New Jersey Meadowlands Commission to have this magical children’s play produced.
Goofball Galaxy, the play, is scheduled for its premiere December 11 & 12, 2009 at the New Jersey Meadowlands Environmental Center. The play is to be directed and performed by Story Pirates, Generation Collaboration. The play contains music, puppetry, actors, sets, costumes, jokes, fantasy and most important of all total goofiness.
